Acciona Energía has inaugurated the Malgarida photovoltaic complex, located in the Atacama desert in Chile, a country where its installed renewable capacity is already 992 MW, after investing 144 million euros in this plant.
With 238 MW and together with the Malgarida II center, Acciona Energía will generate 654 GWh of clean electricity annually, equivalent to the demand of some 280,000 Chilean homes, which will prevent the emission of some 512,000 tons of CO2 per year.
