On Thursday night, Chile’s President Sebastián Piñera announced that 80% of the over 18 population had completed their vaccination regime against COVID-19, reaching the goal set by the government at the beginning of the year.
According to information from the Department of Health Statistics and Information (DEIS), 24,750,738 doses of the vaccines against the coronavirus have been administered. Of these, 13,131,256 correspond to people with single or first doses and 12,125,426 to people who have completed their vaccination process.
