Chile strengthens its leadership in Latin America with over 3 million vaccinated | Marca Chile

According to Oxford University, Chile ranks fifth in the world for COVID-19 vaccines administered per 100 inhabitants.

On Tuesday, Chile reached a milestone of over 3 million people vaccinated against COVID-19 since the mass immunization campaign began on February 3. Seventy percent of the target population of individuals over the age of 65 and over 16% of the country’s total population have been vaccinated.

“This should fill us with pride,” noted Chilean Health Minister Enrique Paris, who described it as “a feat” and thanked “the Primary Health Care services, the mayors and the State’s capacity” for making it possible.
