‘Inception’ law aims to stop mind control

Chile is aiming to become the first country to protect people from mind control, as the ability to tinker with brains, once the stuff of science fiction, comes close to reality.

Guido Girardi, a senator, is leading moves to ensure Chileans’ “neuro-rights” are enshrined by law and that the Constitution is reformed to recognise the need to protect “fundamental human autonomy”.
