The IDB grants more than 40 million euros to Chile to accelerate its decarbonization | Marca Chile

The Inter-American Development Bank has approved a loan of 50 million dollars (41 million euros) for Chile with the aim of accelerating its decarbonization program and supporting the national strategy of producing green hydrogen by 2030.

Chile plans to phase out the coal plants, which in 2019 generated 36.7% of energy and were responsible for 25% of greenhouse gas emissions.
