Step 1 – Cook the potatoes in a pot in a generous amount of salted water until they are soft. Remove from the water and mash using a potato masher.
Step 2 – Add the butter and hot milk (if it is too thick, add more milk.) Season with salt and pepper and set aside.
Step 3 – For the filling: Sauté the onion and ground garlic in oil in a pan. Sweat for a few minutes. Season with salt, paprika, dried oregano and a pinch of ground cumin. Add the ground beef and cook for 5 minutes.
Step 4 – To assemble the dish: Place the meat filling in a baking dish. Add the hard boiled egg, raisins and olives.
Step 5 – Cover with mashed potatoes and sprinkle with granulated sugar. Finally, add a pat of butter to the top.
Step 6 – Bake for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown. Serve hot.
