INGREDIENTES

  • 1 lt (4 cups) water
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 sprigs fresh oregano
  • ½ garlic clove
  • 4 hot dogs
  • 4 hot dog buns
  • 2 large ripe tomatoes
  • 1 cup sauerkraut
  • 1 cup relish
  • Mayonnaise to taste
  • Mustard or Chilean red chili paste
  • 2 tbsp oil

INSTRUCCIONES

  • Step 1 – Cook hot dogs for 5 minutes in plenty of boiling water with salt, oregano and garlic. Set aside but keep warm.
  • Step 2 – Peel and chop tomatoes in small cubes. Season with oil and salt.
  • Step 3 – Assemble the hot dogs: slice hot dog buns down the middle. Warm buns in the oven or on a grill. Insert cooked hot dog. Add tomato, sauerkraut and relish. Top with mayonnaise.
  • Step 4 – Optional: serve with mustard and red chili paste.
