Step 1 – Cut a fine layer into one of the ends of the melon, without reaching the pulp, so that you can balance the melon on the cut side.
Step 2 – Cut a lid from the other end of the melon and, using a large knife, scoop the pulp out of the melon. Be careful not the make the rind too thin.
Step 3 – Combine some of the pulp, 2 cups of wine and sugar to taste in a blender. Cut the rest of the pulp into large cubes. Place everything inside of the melon and refrigerate for 3 hours.
Step 4 – Serve with straws and a spoon for stirring.
Step 5 – Another serving option is to peel the melon, remove the seeds, cut it into cubes and place the melon pieces in a pitcher with ice and white wine.
