Purple Beet Liqueur

INGREDIENTES

  • 8 large beets, peeled and grated
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1 lt (4 cups) aguardiente or pisco

INSTRUCCIONES

  • Step 1 – Place the beets in a bowl and cover with sugar. Pour 1 1/2 cups of cold water into the bowl and let rest for 24 hours.
  • Step 2 – After 24 hours, strain the juice and mix with aguardiente. Bottle in sterile receptacles and store in a cool, dark place.
