Spider Crab Casserole

INGREDIENTES

  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 garlic clove, finely chopped
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 cup fish or seafood stock
  • 500 g (1 lb 2 oz) spider crab or king crab meat, cooked and shredded
  • 2 cups white breadcrumbs soaked in milk
  • 6 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • Salt and pepper
  • ½ cup fresh cream

INSTRUCCIONES

  • Step 1 – Heat oil and paprika over medium heat in a saucepan and sauté garlic and onion until soft, without browning. While stirring, add oregano and fish stock and bring to a boil.
  • Step 2 – Preheat oven to medium-high (190°C / 375°F).
  • Step 3 – Add crab meat, breadcrumbs soaked in milk, 3 tbsp grated cheese and butter. Cook over medium heat, stirring until thickened. Season and add cream, continuing to stir.
  • Step 4 – Pour mixture into a casserole dish, sprinkle the top with the remaining grated cheese and baked until top is browned. Serve hot.
