Chilean entrepreneurs Enzo García and Tomás Acuña won the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) award with a project that avoids economic losses in water desalination by predicting coastal pollution up to two weeks in advance.
Both participated in the prestigious international ‘MIT Water Innovation Prize’ competition on water sustainability with their start-up ‘Bloom Alert’, obtaining the US$ 35,000 prize to emerging entrepreneurs who develop innovative solutions for the water industry.
