Chile’s Environment Minister and President of the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP25), Carolina Schmidt, called on major emitters to address climate change “with the responsibility and sense of urgency that society, science and life on the planet demand.”
Her remarks took place at the “High-Level Dialogue on Climate Action in the Americas”, a summit organized by the governments of Argentina, Barbados, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Panama and Republica Dominicana that brought together different actors to think joint mitigation and adaptation measures to climate change in the continent.
