Under the leadership of this civil engineer with a degree from the Universidad de Chile, Viña Concha y Toro became Latin America’s main wine producer and one of the most important wineries in the world. Eduardo introduced a business model that positioned the award-winning Chilean winery at the top of the industry globally. Concha y Toro wines are available in 145 countries, have widely recognized global brands, and are made from grapes grown on over 10,700 hectares in Chile, Argentina and the United States.
Under Eduardo’s leadership, Concha y Toro stock became available on the New York Stock Exchange, the winery expanded into Argentina with the launch of Bodega Trivento, it reached a strategic partnership with Baron Philippe de Rothschild and it acquired Fetzer Vineyards in California.
Eduardo Guilisasti is one of the greatest ambassadors Chile has had in terms of positioning the country as a world-class wine producer. Today, he is one of the most celebrated in the Latin American food and beverage sector, having won awards like the Institutional Investor Award for the region’s best CEO in the industry in 2020.
