High-Level Climate Action Champion COP25

Gonzalo Muñoz is Champion of COP25 and an activist-entrepreneur focused on the environment and social roles. In addition to founding and serving as the President of TriCiclos, Latin America’s most reputable post-consumer recycling company, Gonzalo is the co-founder of System B, a consultancy firm focused on supporting the construction of ecosystems that are favorable for B-corporations and other economic actors that use the market to solve social and environmental issues. With this experience behind him, he was named High-Level Climate Action Champion of COP25 in 2019. He was the first private-sector representative and the first non-politician to receive this honor. Since then, he has managed to secure commitments from 68% of the world’s GDP to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.

In 2019, he received the most important award in the world for the circular economy, “The Circulars,” in the “Dell4Good” category at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. In June 2020, Gonzalo and COP26 Champion Nigel Topping launched the Race to Zero Global Campaign, in a bid to enlist the private sector in efforts to reach carbon neutrality by 2050.
