Founder of Copper3D
Daniel Martínez is co-founder and Director of Innovation at Copper3D, a pioneer in the 3D printing industry that is opening up a new market niche in 3D antimicrobial printing, which is emerging as a leading global sector. In this role he is responsible for the firm’s business and marketing strategies and is also involved in aspects such as developing new products for its portfolio, innovative architecture, open innovation projects, new business models and strategic international partnerships. This year, he was recruited by Johnson & Johnson MedTech, where he became Manager of Digital and Robotic Solutions for the Southern Cluster (LatAm).
In 2021, Copper3D was awarded a NASA research grant for the third time, which will enable the Chilean firm to test and manufacture recyclable antimicrobial materials in space.
He has a Certificate in Technological Innovation from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, MIT (2021), a Master’s in Innovation from Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez (2018), a Master’s in Health Administration and Management from the Universidad de los Andes (2009), a Diploma in Strategic Marketing from Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez (2014), and a Diploma in Business Coaching from the International Coaching Community (2009), after having graduated as a physical therapist from Universidad Andrés Bello in 2005.
