Chilean agronomist and entrepreneur
Carolina Echenique is an Agricultural Engineer with a degree from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, a business owner and the founder of the Tika brand. She developed a completely Chilean snack product with 100% real and natural ingredients based on native tubers (purple, yellow and red potatoes) that had never been used in the food industry before. As part of her business model, she works directly with tuber suppliers in Chiloé, supporting small-scale farmers.
Today, Tika is available in the United States, Australia, South Korea, Uruguay, New Zealand, Brazil and on the Amazon platform.
Carolina won the Young Female Entrepreneur Award in 2010 and was included in El Mercurio’s list of 100 Female Leaders.
